Quincy L. Allen
qallen@cjuf.comQuincy Allen is Managing Director of Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC and is a member of the Canyon-Johnson Urban Funds' (CJUF) investment and senior management committees. Mr. Allen heads the acquisitions team and is responsible for overall investment strategy and sourcing investment opportunities in various markets nationwide for Canyon Capital Realty Advisors and the Canyon-Johnson Urban Funds.
Mr. Allen has over 17 years experience in finance and real estate investment. During his career Mr. Allen has been responsible for the acquisition, development and disposition of over $8.0 billion of real estate in various sectors including multifamily, retail, hospitality, office and industrial. Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Allen was at Lazard Freres Real Estate Investors and joined the firm in order to restructure entity-level investments in their fund portfolios. Prior to Lazard, he was Vice President with Archstone Communities Trust, which was previously an affiliate of Security Capital Group. While at Archstone, Mr. Allen was a regional investment officer where he was responsible for acquisitions of existing assets and ground up development opportunities. Prior to Archstone, Mr. Allen was an Associate with Security Capital Group where he worked on principal investments. Mr. Allen is a graduate of Wayne State University (B.S., Summa Cum Laude) and Harvard University School of Business Administration (MBA).
Mr. Allen is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Pension Real
Estate Association (PREA), National Multi-Housing Council (NHMC) and the
National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP).
