Quincy Allen
Quincy L. Allen is a Managing Director of Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC and is a member of Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund’s (CJUF) investment committee. Mr. Allen heads the acquisitions team and is responsible for overall investment strategy and sourcing investment opportunities in various markets nationwide.
Mr. Allen has over 13 years experience in finance and real estate investment. During his career he has been responsible for the development and acquisition of over $5.0 billion of real estate in various sectors including multifamily, retail, lodging, office and industrial. Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Allen was an investment professional with Lazard Freres Real Estate Investors where he was part of a new team that restructured entity-level investments in their fund portfolios. Prior to Lazard, Mr. Allen was a Vice President with Archstone Communities Trust, an affiliate of Security Capital Group and a national publicly-traded multifamily real estate investment trust. While at Archstone, Mr. Allen was an investment officer in the Midwest region where he was responsible for the investment in existing real estate and ground up development opportunities. Prior to Archstone, Mr. Allen was an Associate with Security Capital Group, an international real estate investment firm which was acquired by GE Capital in 2003. During his tenure at Security Capital Group, Mr. Allen worked on strategic planning, capital markets, investment acquisition-related activities and investment research. Mr. Allen is a graduate of Wayne State University (B.S., Summa Cum Laude, Finance) and Harvard School of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
