Joseph Kessel
Joseph Kessel is an Associate for the Canyon Johnson Urban Funds. Mr. Kessel is responsible for underwriting the acquisition of existing and to-be-developed real estate throughout the major metropolitan markets in the United States. Prior to joining the CJUF team, Mr. Kessel was an acquisitions associate for Urdang Capital Management, the real estate investment management affiliate of The Bank of New York. While at Urdang Capital Management, Mr. Kessel coordinated all underwriting and due diligence functions on value-added investments across all major property types, and assisted in joint venture and loan documentation procedures. Mr. Kessel holds dual degrees from The Wharton School (B.S. Real Estate) and The College of Arts and Sciences (B.A. International Relations) at the University of Pennsylvania.
