John H. Simpson
John Simpson is Chief Operating Officer of Canyon. Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Simpson was Vice Chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein ("DKW"). Mr. Simpson spent 15 years at DKW and its predecessor, Wasserstein Perella & Co., where he was a senior mergers and acquisitions professional and ran several of the firm's largest business units. Prior to joining Wasserstein Perella, Mr. Simpson practiced law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. Prior to that Mr. Simpson served as a law clerk to the Honorable William A. Norris of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Simpson is a graduate of Williams College (A.B., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Economics and Political Science) and Harvard Law School (J.D., magna cum laude; Editor, Harvard Law Review).
