Maria L. Stamolis
Maria L. Stamolis is a Senior Director for the Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund. Maria is responsible for deal-specific asset management, which includes dealing with operating partners on issues of development/redevelopment, sales and leasing programs, operations, refinancing activity and dispositions. Ms. Stamolis has over 20 years of real estate experience, most recently as a Consultant and Executive Vice President for Karney Management Company, a Los Angeles-based developer and owner of over 7 million square feet of industrial property. In this capacity, she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, as well as all leasing, development, sales and dispositions. Prior to Karney Management, Maria was Vice President of Asset Management at Los Angeles-based R&B Realty Group, the owner and operator of Oakwood Apartments, a $1.5 billion portfolio comprised primarily of large scale apartment communities that serviced Oakwood Worldwide, the company's Corporate Service arm. Ms. Stamolis also worked as a Portfolio Manager at GE Capital managing their major west coast borrowers and MBL Life Assurance Corporation in Newark, New Jersey and Los Angeles as a Workout Specialist. She started her career in New York City as a Project Manager for the developer Center for Housing Partnerships. Ms. Stamolis holds an MBA in Finance and a BA in Economics and Business from Fordham University.
