Miami Free Zone, Miami, FL
In partnership with New York-based Pantheon Properties, Canyon-Johnson acquired and repositioned an existing 745,000 sq. ft. warehouse and showroom facility in Miami. Once an underutilized complex, the Free Trade Zone is now 90 percent occupied by private companies, foreign trade organizations and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and has expanded jobs in this largely minority community. In 2006, The Beacon Council recognized the Free Trade Zone with an award for outstanding International Commerce / Multinational Corporation.
